Now Open: 2026 Dr. Janice Wilkerson Scholarship Applications

Partners For Change is proud to announce the 2026 Dr. Janice Wilkerson Scholarship, established in 2025 to honor the extraordinary career and lasting impact of Dr. Janice Wilkerson. Since retiring from the Covington Independent School District, this scholarship celebrates her unwavering dedication to education, leadership, and community service—and ensures her legacy continues through the next generation of leaders.

Dr. Wilkerson’s career has been defined by a deep belief in the power of education to change lives. Her commitment to students, families, and the broader Covington community has left a lasting mark, and this scholarship reflects the values she championed throughout her career: service, perseverance, and striving for one’s full potential.

The Dr. Janice Wilkerson Scholarship awards $1,000 to a deserving graduating senior who embodies these same qualities. The scholarship is designed to support students as they take the next step in their educational journey, whether that path leads to a two-year or four-year college or university, a trade school, or a certification program.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a 2026 graduating senior from Covington Schools

  • Plans to enroll in a college, university, trade school, or certification program in the upcoming academic year

  • Demonstrates leadership and a strong commitment to community service

Through this scholarship, Partners For Change is honored to invest in students who are ready to lead, serve, and make a meaningful impact—just as Dr. Wilkerson has done throughout her career.

Applications are due by Friday, April 10, 2026.

We encourage eligible students to apply and take advantage of this opportunity to further their education while honoring a legacy rooted in service, leadership, and community.
