Celebrating Our Out-of-School Time Heroes

In April, Partners For Change, celebrated the incredible individuals across our partner school districts who make out-of-school time programs truly special.

Afterschool professionals are the heart of this work. They bring the energy, consistency, and care it takes to transform programming into spaces where students want to be. Whether they’re leading enrichment activities, supporting academic growth, or simply showing up as a trusted, caring adult, their impact reaches far beyond the school day.

Because of these dedicated professionals, students have safe, engaging environments where they feel supported, build confidence, and are inspired to be their best. They create a sense of belonging, foster meaningful relationships, and open doors to new opportunities—often without recognition, but never without impact.

Throughout April, we’ve had the privilege of highlighting just a few of these outstanding individuals, each with their own story, passion, and commitment to students and families. While we can’t capture every story, we know the difference they make is felt every single day in classrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and community spaces across our region.
