Call to Action - Support 21st CCLC Programming
The President’s FY27 budget proposal, released April 3, would eliminate dedicated 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) funding and replace it with a consolidated block grant—impacting afterschool and summer programs as early as 2027.
While this marks the sixth attempt to eliminate 21st CCLC, there has already been strong, bipartisan support to protect the program, including letters from lawmakers, public testimony, and a national sign-on from 300+ organizations.
Congress will make the final decision, with key steps beginning in early June—and there is still time to advocate. This is the funding that directly supports the programming in each of our partner school districts. Please take two minutes to send a message to Congress in support of afterschool and summer learning programs.
